At the end of all this digital connection, we hope y'all can form local communities and meet in-person. Time in nature, spent with those you can touch and sit around a fire with, is just so healing. However, we also know that being centrally located to others right now is a privilege and online options are sorely needed.
The Sanctuary itself is currently fully online with no brick and mortar space. Our lead pastor, PunkPastor, is located in the Midwest United States.

This is the major community center of this whole operation! From book clubs, to interest groups, to virtual events, Discord is the primary platform for the Sanctuary's community. Due to liability concerns, our Discord community is strictly 18+.

About
Community Lunch Streams are short streams meant for body-doubling, community-building, and reminding each other to eat, drink, and take our meds. Our pastor does these during his lunch break, so they're limited to one hour on the days that he works from home.
Read Together Streams are for everyone with dyslexia or who has said "I'd love to read that, but I just don't have time." Our pastor reads aloud a portion of a featured book from our book club, after which the community can chat about it. You're welcome to simply listen along, but for viewers and those of us with AuDHD, a game will be on the screen simultaneously. These will happen every Friday that we don't have a Soapbox Sermon scheduled.
Soapbox Sermon Streams are when our pastor brings in an expert to give a Soapbox Sermon -- a sermon or interview based on the question, "if you were given the opportunity to talk about anything for 30 minutes, what would you pick?" This is based on the Last Lecture series and is our way on making sure diverse voices are included in our broadcasts. These will happen as many Fridays as we're able.
Game Streams are just fun! For those familiar with Twitch, this is the bread and butter of the Twitch community: live streams of people playing videogames together. These are fun community nights where people within our community (usually our pastor and his wife) will be playing some game, such as R.E.P.O., Lethal Company, Fall Guys, etc.
